Coho salmon were once the dominant throughout the entire Tenmile Lakes system but have dramatically declined in since the tate s.

The spawning çmulation ot mature coho salmon (adult and jack) in Tenmile Lakes system was as great as 82, in but in the population was estimated to be only fish. The large. Siltcoos and Tahkenitch lakes just north of Tenmile also have runs of coho which passes through the lakes.
